Pastor Chris: The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a family of faith with loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest child of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a pioneer of Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families, who passed her divine grace on her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. His brother, Reverend Ken is the highly regarded Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow her father’s example of sharing the Gospel of God with the world and is also known as CSO She is a talented gospel singer who has won awards and is a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained an BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received his call from God to be a priest and minister to the Lord.
